He was predeceased by: his parents, Marion F. Rost and Asenith Rost (Sandburg). He is survived by: his children, Aaron Rost (Barbara), Sylvia Payton (Greg) and Whitney Hightower (Brandon); his grandchildren, Felicity Rost, Hayden Payton, Trysten Hightower, Rylynn Hightower and Levi Payton; and his sister Karen Allen.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Greiner Funeral Home and Cremation Service (2005 N 13th St, Terre Haute, IN 47804). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 6th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
