He was predeceased by: his parents, James L. Abrams and Marjorie Thewlis Abrams; his wife Betty L. Abrams; his granddaughter Brooke Abrams; and his siblings, Donald Abrams, Betty Foschoar and Evelyn Chambon. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as one great-great grandchild.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Bible Holiness Church in honor of James.
