Joann left this world on February 7, 2025 at the age of 95, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Decker and Helen Decker (Bays); her husband Robert Hays; her granddaughter Jennifer Held; and her brother Bill Decker.

She is survived by: her daughter Diane Held; her grandchildren, Robert Held (Jo Ann), Michael Held, Dustin Held (Amanda), Nicholas Held (Stacey), Colby Held (Ayricka) and Stephen Held (Sierra); her great grandchildren, Ellie Held, Matthew Held, Willow Held, Mia Held, Piper Held, Alyssa Held, Josh Held, Sayler Held, Marley Held, Stephen Held and Tayla Bell; her great great grandchild Ezryn Bell; and her siblings, Bob Decker (Kathleen) and Sue Decker. She is also survived by many nieces nephews and other extended family.

“Joann was a very special gift from God to so many. She would Crochcet beautiful pieces for all to enjoy in the IVFAA Auxiliary and was always giving of herself to do for others. She would call twice a month to check on me and my family. She was an excellent IVFAA Chaplain for many years. She truly cared about her family and others. She and Bob had one daughter and grandchildren. She will be missed but never forgotten. Pam & Ski Gerdowsky”
