She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph E. Preston and Ruth McCutchan Preston; her husband James Michael Sullivan; her stepson Timothy Michael Sullivan; and her brothers, William Preston, John F. Preston and Joseph Preston Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Ruth Ann Akers, Deborah Kay, Drummy (John), Robert Steven Akers (Tricia), James Brian Sullivan (Michelle), Kimberly, Ann Bayless (Richard), Kerry Jo Lloyd (Brad) and Kevin Patrick Sullivan (Beth). She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church (2322 N 13th 1/2 St, Terre Haute, IN 47804). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Terre Haute Humane Society—two causes close to Mary Ann's heart.
