Richard Acton Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Acton of Terre Haute, Indiana, who passed away on October 6, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Richard is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Richard's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Herschel Acton and Nellie Acton (Compton). He is survived by: his wife Edith Acton (Bundy); his children, James Acton (Terri), Deborah Strange (Jon) and Angela Owen (Daniel); and his brother Paul Acton. He is also survived by his three children, and fishing with his grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Cross Lane Community Church (204 Lafayette Ave, Terre Haute, IN 47805). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
