We announce the death of Stu Moore in Terre Haute, Indiana, who passed away on September 27, 2026, at the age of 97. Stu will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lestie Moore (Johnston) and Willis Moore; his brothers, Dallas Moore and Ervin Moore; and his significant other Bessie Mae McArthur.
He is survived by: his children, Anne Hughes (Hobert), Nancy Wiesman (David) and John Moore (Terri); his grandchildren, Betsy Slavens (Dave Miller), Michael Wiesman (Linnea Schuster), Tony Wiesman (Sam Schreiner), Brandon Moore (Shawna) and Breanna Bracken (Dan); and his great grandchildren, Nathan and Eli Moore.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Lawson-Miller Chapel (1702 E National Ave, Brazil, IN 47834). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at the Center Point Cemetery.
