He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Stewart and Elsie Smith Stewart; his wife Julia; his daughter Kathryn Petrin; his granddaughters, Robyn Blair and Dawnanne Miller; his brother-in-law Kenny Peacock; and his son-in-law Randy Petrin.
He is survived by: his children, Karen Jenkins (Larry) of Rosedale, Kim Ross (Kevin) of Brazil, Tammy Delph (John) of Dugger, Donna McClain of Terre Haute, Thad Stewart (Laura) of Rochester, Tom Stewart (Tari) of Dana and Chuck Johnson (Bobbie) of Rosedale; his close friend Remola Miller of Terre Haute; and his siblings, Clyde "Jay" Stewart (Joyce) of Avon and Patricia Peacock of Rockville. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Frist Funeral Home, Inc. (458 Blackman St, Clinton, IN 47842). A funeral service was held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
