He was predeceased by : his parents, Ralph Whittinghill and Eleanor Rose Whittinghill (Barton); and his grandson Jake R. Whittinghill. He is survived by : his former life partner Karen S. Brown (Poole); his children, Jerry W. (Lisa M.), Brenda S. Cochran (Whittinghill), Steven D. (Amy), Lisa A. Wuerdeman (Whittinghill) and Jason A. Smith; and his sister Meredith Neal of Thorntown. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
