Esther A. Hostetler Obituary
We announce the death of Esther A. Hostetler of Topeka, Indiana, who passed away on September 7, 2026, at the age of 83. Esther will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Amos J. Mast and Sadie Mast (Beachy); her granddaughter Eva Diane Hostetler; and her brother Joseph Mast. She is survived by: her husband Owen Hostetler, Jr.; and her children, Leonard Hostetler (Dorothy) of Millersburg, Glenn Hostetler (Darlene) of Topeka, Joseph Hostetler (Lydia) of Topeka, Betty Wingard (Freeman) of Shipshewana, Loretta Troyer (Samuel) of Shipshewana and Marlene Beechy (Dewayne) of Shipshewana. She is also survived by 32 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM at the Matt Hostetler Residence (1280 S 600 W, Topeka, IN 46571). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at the Yoder Cemetery (8400 W 100 S, Shipshewana, IN 46565).
