He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyman King and Helen King (Rentschler); his wife Kathleen Kay King (Plantz); his brother Don King; and his nephew Danny Scales.

He is survived by: his children, Karin King (Rob Berger), Debra Galey (Karl), Steven King and Michael King; his grandchildren, Kaylan, Alyson, Maegan Galey, Gaven and Bennett King; and his siblings, Rosemary Scales (Bruce) and Bobby King (Penny). He is also survived by several extended family members and friends.
