He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Brush and Bivere Brush; and his siblings, Mancil Brush, Garcille Pieper and Lawrencine Brush.

He is survived by: his wife Patsy Detamore-Brush M. D.; his children, Lindsay Brush and Christopher Brush; his stepchildren, Benjamin Detamore, Sharon Detamore, Samuel Detamore and Rachel Detamore; his grandchildren, Nicholas John Brush, Matthew Lawrence Brush and Olivia Grace Brush; his stepgrandson Anthony Detamore; his nieces, Kim Carson, Cathleen Quezada and Stephanie Brush; and his nephew Carl Pieper. He is also survived by his grandparents for 3 years, and his 3 siblings.
