He was predeceased by: his wife Peggie Jean Owen; his parents, Thomas and Mabel (Peggie); and also, Helen Banter-Todd, Walter Douglas Howard, Della Mae Ertel, Thomas Leon "Chuck" Howard, Anna Louise Himelick and Robert Howard.
He is survived by: his daughters, Pam Stump (Larry) and Patsy Bryant (Dan); his grandchildren, Adam Stump (Mary), Whitney Blair (James), Dawn Stump, Peter Bryant, Emily Bernaix (Matt), Elizabeth Kelly (Gage), Olivia Bryant and Andrew Bryant; his great grandchildren, Melissa Stump, Sophie, Anna, Claire Blair, Jacob, MacKenzie, Truett Bernaix and Brinley Kelly; and his brother Herb Howard of Upland.
