He was predeceased by: his parents, Hendrick "Cappy" Wheeler and Mabel Wheeler (Head); his daughter Crystal Engleking; his grandchildren, Austin Engleking and Summer Wheeler; his stepson Brandon Boling; and his siblings, Gene Wheeler (Joy), Richard Wayne Wheeler, Joe Wheeler (Lou) and Betty Cook.
He is survived by: his wife Tina; his children, Steve Wheeler and Terri Eldridge; his stepchildren, Kira Marshall (Adam) and Kyle Boling; his grandchildren, Ethan, Montana, Crystal, Hunter and Johnathon; his great grandchildren, Emmitt, Evelyn, Hendrick, Clayton, Lyla, Nevaeh and Kyren; his stepgrandchildren, Hayden, Kamryn, Jayla, Coli and Skyler; his sister Sharon Gibbons; and his brother-in-law Jackie Cook.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Johnson Funeral Home (2005 S Main St, Vallonia, IN 47281). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be given to Schneck Medical Center Hospice.
