It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edgar Rager of Valparaiso, Indiana, born in Blairsville, Pennsylvania, who passed away on November 14, 2022, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Walter Rager and Myrtle Rager (Torrance); and his siblings, Elizabeth, Virginia, Walter and Edna.

He is survived by : his wife Esther Hassenpflug; his children, Gwendolyn Myers (Ron) of Logansport, Linda Townsend (Ian) of Valparaiso, Fred Rager (Bonnie) of Westville and Cynthia Neuner (Brian) of Glendale, AZ; his sister-in-law Virginia Grcich of Chesterton; and his grandchildren, Jason, Aaron, Matthew, Justin, Freddie, Ashley, Rebecca and Eric. He is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.

Memorial donations may be made to Shriner's Children's Hospital or Valparaiso First united Methodist Church.
