With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Emily Anna Thorpe of Valparaiso, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 14, 2025 at the age of 102. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Bukalski and Anna Bukalski; her husband G. Keith Thorpe; her daughter Rebecca Thorpe; her son-in-law Keith McKean; and her siblings, Helen Edwards and Bruno "Barney" Bukalski.
She is survived by: her children, Barney Thorpe of Valparaiso, Victoria Nowlin (Carl) of Valparaiso, Teresa "Terry" Michiaels of Wanatah, Kathleen Kepler of Merrillville, James Keith Thorpe (Kim) of Valparaiso and Barbara McKean of Valparaiso; and her grandchildren, Ryan, Julie, Breann, Tayler, Kelly, Amanda and Kayla. She is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
