He is survived by: his wife Carol Behrend (Triska); his children, Dr. Robert Behrend (Karen) and Nicole Morton (Grant); his grandsons, Dr. Maxwell Behrend (Kaitlin), Dr. Samuel Behrend (Amelia), William Behrend, Charles Morton and Jack Morton; his great grandchild Patrick Behrend; and his son-in-law Grant Morton.
