He was predeceased by: his parents, George Mowbray and Myrtle Mowbray Sr. (Hanner); his siblings, Bill, Robert Mowbray, Pat Keller and Joann Hovey; and his children-in-law, Matthew Dunn, Terry Topping and Tammy Mowbray.

He is survived by: his wife Susan Evans; his children, Nancy Topping of South Bend, George Mowbray III of Valparaiso, David Mowbray (Jenefer) of Bremen, KY, Mary Dunn of Muncie and Lori Horton (Steve) of Valparaiso; his grandchildren, Michael, Stephanie, Destiny, Logan, Anthony, Jessica, River, Emily, Steven, Nate, Alayna, Andrew, Kaylee and Brandon; and his brothers, Norman and Merle Mowbray.
