He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Hoyert and Louise Hoyert. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia D. O'Dell; his children, Matthew Hoyert (Hannah) and Shelby Hoyert (Evan Frystak); his granddaughter Amelia Hoyert; and his siblings, John H. Hoyert III and Donna Hoyert.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested for the IU Northwest Mark S. Hoyert Psychology Department Scholarship, or friends and family may plant a tree in his honor through the Arbor Day Foundation.
