We are sad to announce that, on May 7, 2024, at the age of 85, Janet (Houghton) Staniec of Valparaiso, Indiana, born in Chicago, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Houghton and Lillian Houghton (Fronczak); her siblings, Anna May Wadman, Harry Houghton, Jr. and Fred Houghton (Jeane); and her brother-in-law Robert Staniec.
She is survived by: her husband James Staniec; her daughters, Doris Stanish (Jim), Sandy Knight and Kathleen Daughtridge (Sean); her grandchildren, Dan Stanish (Christine), Brian Stanish (Kate Mulle), Colleen Stanish, Elizabeth Perez (Rogelio), Father Chris Stanish, Mary Stanish, Nicholas Stanish (Heidi), Matthew Stanish (Paige), Emily Stanish, Ben Daughtridge (Tasha), Kevin Daughtridge (Karen), Rachel Daughtridge and Julie Franklin (Joel); her great grandchildren, Jonathan, Ava Stanish, Alex, Charlotte, Owen Perez, Zoey, Harrison and Gabrielle Franklin; her siblings-in-law, Shirley Houghton, Patricia Staniec and Bill Staniec (Cynthia); and her pet Fritz. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
