She was predeceased by: her parents, Leslie Cowles and Dorothy Cowles (Kilmer); her husband James "Jim" Frederick, Sr.; and her sister Judy Riley. She is survived by: her children, Joyce Robinson (Dave) of Valparaiso, Jeri Mateer (Paul) of Valparaiso and James "Jay" Frederick, Jr. (Tracy) of Valparaiso; and her grandchildren, David Robinson, Jess Mateer, Becki Mateer and J. R. Frederick III (Hannah). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
