He was predeceased by: his parents, William J. Flynn, Jr. and Catherine Flynn (Wiltzius); his significant other Patricia Steindler Flynn; and his siblings, Teresa Ann Garnier, William Flynn, Mary Lou Casey, David Flynn, Joan Graeber, Barbara Green and Kathleen Mathis.
He is survived by: his children, Jerome T. Flynn Jr. (Lisa) of Valparaiso and Elizabeth A. Etzler (Steve) of Valparaiso; his grandchildren, Hannah Flynn, Maggie Etzler, Michael Flynn, Norah Flynn, Ethan Etzler and Thomas Flynn; his sister Suzanne Whitehead of Elgin, SC; and his brothers-in-law, Thomas Steindler (Barb) of Valparaiso and Gary Steindler (Sheryl Strabavy) of Chesterton.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 17th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Bartholomew Funeral Home (102 Monroe St, Valparaiso, IN 46383). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 17th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Lakeshore Paws located in Valparaiso.
