He was predeceased by: his wife JoAnn Dorroll; and his son Robert Dorroll. He is survived by: his children, Carol Edwards (Tim) and John C. Dorroll (Annette); his grandchildren, Teresa Davidson (Tracy), Stephanie Edwards, Rob Johnston, Philip Dorroll and Joseph Dorroll (Taylor Weast); and his great grandchildren, Teagan Davidson, Jackson Mohr, Olivia Dorroll and Zoey Dorroll.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in John's name to Protection of the Virgin Mary Orthodox Church in Merrillville, IN or St. Alexis Orthodox Church in Lafayette, IN.
