He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Frier and Ann De Frier; and his former wife Gertrude J. De Frier. He is survived by: his children, Anne De Frier (Louise Ciochon), Mary Anne Shannon (John) and Joseph M. Jr. De Frier (Nancy); his stepdaughter Patricia Colomer; his wife Irene R. White De Frier; his sister Dorothy Pawlik; and his stepdaughter Susan "Susie" White. He is also survived by his 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Instead of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
