He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Pifer and Marion Pifer (Swift); his former wife Mary Jane Craig; and his son Carl Pifer. He is survived by: his wife Arlene Smith; his children, Rebecca Jane Ashman (Bob) and Craig Aaron Pifer; his daughter-in-law Christine Pifer; his stepchildren, Christian Craig (Teresa), Jana Craig-Wilcox (Jake) and Joshua Craig (Denise); his grandchildren, Nicholas Stephens (Samantha), Amanda Mazur-Baker (Adam), Jacob Pifer (Becca), J. D. Pifer (Carmela), April Hubbard, Aaron Pifer and Saphyre Pifer; his stepgrandchildren, Alyson Rodriguez (Joey), Rachael Craig (Amir), Jaelyn Craig, Gabriel Craig, Naomi Mendoza and Greysyn Craig; and his sister Joyce Fleury. He is also survived by six great grandchildren.
