He was predeceased by : his parents, Myles Nickles and Helen Nickles (Alcorn); and his siblings, James, Hazel and Barbara.

He is survived by : his sons, Andrew Nickles (Amanda) of Temecula and Matthew Nickles of Valparaiso; his grandchildren, Ansley, Alaina, Alex and Ever; and his brother Timothy Nickles (Cheri) of Missouri.
