Noel Patrick Brasel Sr. Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Noel Patrick Brasel Sr. of Valparaiso, Indiana, born in Evansville, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 22, 2025 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his wife Delores "Dee" Brasel; his parents, Glen Brasel and Adelaide Brasel; his grandsons, Keven Brasel, Raymond Glenn Royal and Jeremy Royal; his great grandchild Hunter Bullock; his sons-in-law, Everett "Budd" Ballou and Michael Buckner; and his sisters-in-law, Sandra Marvel and Patricia Morris.

He is survived by: his children, Cindy Ballou of Valparaiso, Noel Brasel, Jr. (Karen) of Crown Point, Gail Kochek of Valparaiso, Becky Helfen (Joe) of Griffith, Robbin Royal (Bill) of LaPorte and Glenda Buckner of Crown Point; his grandchildren, Rhett Ballou, Ben Ballou (Angela), Jennifer Bellman (Ryan), Noel Brasel, III (Kristin), Natalie Bullock (Brad), Mandy Shaffer (Mark), Rodney Townsend (Angela), Kirsten Miller (Chris), Abigail, Amy, Aaron Kochek (Julie), Joshua Helfen (Anna), Sarah Scott (Deno), Daniel Helfen, Elisabeth Mubibya (Felis), Stephen Helfen, Joy Martin (Tony), Jim Royal (Wendy), Samantha Royal, Brianna Jacobs (Tyler) and Jade Buckner; his sister Dian Brasel; and his siblings-in-law, Judy Sawyer (Allan) and William Marvel, Sr.. He is also survived by 31 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren.
