She was loved and cherished by many people including : her husband Dr. Alfred Kobak Jr.; her children, William (Colleen McDonough), Steve (Randi Brown Kobak), Jane (Rob Lynch) and Debbie (Dan Nielsen); her grandchildren, Emily, Sara Lynch, Sydney, Ellie, Max Kobak, Maggie and Carrie Nielsen; her parents, Samuel Stein and Celia Stein; and her sibling Shirley "Pat" Turbow.

In lieu of flowers, donations are kindly requested in her name to Temple Israel of Valparaiso, the American Cancer Society, or the Alzheimer's Association Greater Indiana chapter.
