He was predeceased by : his parents, Dr. Harry Asher and Lucille Asher (Magnes); and his siblings, Sari Asher and Hank Asher. He is survived by : his daughter Sarah Baker (Justin); his granddaughter Marina Baker; and his brother Charles Asher.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Porter County Animal Shelter and the Chicago Street Theatre in Valparaiso.
