He was predeceased by: his grandfathers, Paul Aaron Gatewood, Francis Idlewine and Delbert Runyon; and his uncles, Dale and Jeff Idlewine.
He is survived by: his parents, Kenny Gatewood and Cathy Summa (Idlewine); his wife Christine Branum; his stepparents, Susan Gatewood of Westport and David Summa of Michigan; his siblings, Joshua Michael Gatewood of Shelbyville, Aaron Nugent (Leah) of Westport and Amber Pack (Kevin) of Westport; and his grandmothers, Sandra Gatewood of Westport, Marilyn Runyan of Westport and Virginia Houser of Columbus. He is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
Memorials in honor of Ben may be made through the funeral home to the American Cancer Society.
