He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Moore James (Moore) and Chester "Chet" James; and his brother Paul "Freddie" James. He is survived by: his wife Lisa James; his daughters, Larisa James of Carrollton, KY and Laurie Lea James Miles (Doug) of Crestwood, KY.; his grandchildren, Leif McKinney, Lyric McKinney, Lyra McKinney of Carrollton, KY, Julian Miles, Adrian Miles and Lakian Miles of Crestwood, KY.; and his sister Joann Carrigan of Columbus, MS..
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Richwood (1233 KY-36, Milton, KY 40045). A celebration of life was held on Sunday, July 20th 2025 at 5:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family has requested memorial donations to the Carroll County Lady Panthers Basketball Program or the South Oldham Dragons Basketball Programs.
