George William Skirvin Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 16, 2025, at the age of 91, George William Skirvin (Vevay, Indiana) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob G. "Jake" Skirvin and Millie Jane Skirvin (Smith); his wife Mildred Lucille Skirvin (Richardson); and his siblings, Harry, James Welby, Leslie, Rheuben, Halley, John F. Skirvin, Margaret Beach, Stella Louise Tague and Nellie Simpson Pickard.
He is survived by: his children, Pamela Matthews (Robert) of Greenfield, IN, Lawrence W. Skirvin of Indianapolis, IN and David Skirvin (Becky) of Indianapolis, IN; and his grandchildren, Stacey, Brandon, Heather, Tyler, Kyle, Alicia, Erika and Nathaniel. He is also survived by his several great-grandchildren and his nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Haskell & Morrison Funeral Home (208 Ferry St, Vevay, IN 47043). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Vevay American Legion Post #185 Relief Fund or Shriners Children.
