He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles William and Mary Eileen Brown (Russell); his brothers, Edwin Brown, Charles "Cha" Brown and Ray Brown; his sisters-in-law, Mary Alice Brown and Joan Brown; and his stepgrandson Joshua "Josh" Kern.
He is survived by: his wife Ellyn Louise Kern (Rutenschroer) of Fairview, IN; his children, Brian Brown (Erin Case) of Brownsburg, IN and Andrea Michelle Brown Butler (Ron) of New Palestine, IN; his stepchildren, Debbie Wildrick (Douglas Dickson) of Naples, FL, Douglas Kern (Tammy) of Rehoboth Beach, DE, Lincoln Kern of Australia and Bennett Kern (Carla Perry) of Lawrenceburg, IN; his grandchildren, Alana Case-Brown, Jessica Butler and Mason Butler; his stepgrandchildren, Ashley, Braden and Kelsey; and his brother Alvin Joseph Brown (Jane) of Louisville, KY. He is also survived by his nieces, nephews, and friends.
