We announce the death of Loretta Knaus of Vevay, Indiana, who passed away on August 22, 2026, at the age of 58. Loretta will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Loretta will be remembered for the impact she had on the lives of those around her. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Those who knew Loretta will remember moments of kindness, warmth, and presence. Though words cannot fully capture her life, the legacy of connections and experiences remains. Loretta’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued her companionship.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dorene Beal (Nussbaum) and Paul Beal; and her sister Donna Beal. She is survived by: her husband Dennis Knaus of Veay, IN; her granddaughter Olivia Miller of Moores Hill, IN; and her siblings, Mary Beal of Lawrenceburg, IN, Betty Jo Cope of Erlanger, KY and Robert Sluder of Newport, KY. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Markland Funeral Home (327 N High St, Rising Sun, IN 47040).
