He was loved and cherished by many people including: wife: Deborah Renee "Debbie" (Collins) Allen; mother: Waneta "Lucille" (Bryson) Allen Barnett (LC); daughters: Hope Best (Michael), Lori Holden (Ryan), and Katera "Katie" Allen; sons: Chad Allen and David Allen (Misty); step-son: Timothy James (Whitney); grandchildren: Tyler Best (Taylor), Trenton Best (Laura), Andrew Holden (Madison), Justin Allen, Emma Allen, Adryan Holden (Emily), Adalyn Holden, Jeremiah Allen (Emily), Jasmine Coble (Seth), and Bransen Myers; great-grandchildren: Olivia Best, Hollis Holden, and Delaney Allen; sisters: Connie Lightner (Jim) and Amy Adkison (David); brother: Gary Allen (Trish); sisters-in-law: Brenda Allen, Mary Kressley (Todd), and Breana McDonald (Kevin); brothers-in-law: Michael Harris, Bobby Phillips, and David Higginbotham; father: Clell Maurice Allen; brother: Larry James Allen; paternal-grandparents: Clell M. Allen and Bertha "Clyde" Allen; maternal-grandparents: Howard Jackson Bryson and Alice Mae "Allie" (Stayton) Bryson; maternal aunt: Evelyn Alieen (Bryson) Crane Sykes; sister-in-law: Curtina "Tina" Jane (Collins) Higginbotham; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 7:00 PM and on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 12:00 PM. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Oakside Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Fairview Baptist Church, Oakside Cemetery, or Charity of the Donor's Choice.
