He was predeceased by: his parents, Layman Cloat and Carolena N. Cloat (Hart); his daughter Phyllisa C. "Lisa" Pedigo (Cloat); his stepson Paul Randall "Randy" Hise; his brother Richard Hart Cloat; and his son-in-law Robert Wayne Griffin.
He is survived by: his wife Paula Rae Cloat (Sloan) of Moorefield, IN; his children, Marylee "Shamaine" Griffin of Madison, IN and Rick Cloat (Samantha Cloat) of Joliet, IL; his grandchildren, Haley, Megan, Nathan, Tyrus and Alexander; and his great grandchildren, Danny and Vivian.
