He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Abel and Vada Abel; and his siblings, Gary Abel, Lisa Alton and Lori Buzan.
He is survived by: his wife Heidi Sutton; his children, Charles, Skyler and Robin; his grandchildren, Gunnar, Geralt, Maddyx, Alexis, Emberly and Octavia; and his siblings, Donald Abel (Esther) and Linda Holscher (Chris).
He was also a member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.
