He was predeceased by: his father Bernie Niehaus; his brother-in-law Robert Pratt; his mother-in-law Theresa FitzGerald; and his nephew Ryan FitzGerald. He is survived by: his mother Patty Niehaus (O'Neill); his grandchildren, Sammy, Sophia Jones, Milleigh Libby and Demi Niehaus; his siblings, Anne Pratt, Butch Niehaus (Tina Thomas), Catherine Lawless (Steve) and Eric Niehaus (Teresa Robinson); and his siblings-in-law, Kevin, Susan FitzGerald, Thomas FitzGerald, Christopher, Yukie FitzGerald, Dan FitzGerald, Mary, Bill Miller, Katie, Rob Larrison, Ed and Lisa FitzGerald. He is also survived by 31 nieces and nephews, along with many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church (803 Main St, Vincennes, IN 47591). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Old Cathedral Catholic Church (205 Church St, Vincennes, IN 47591).
The Niehaus family has requested memorial contributions be made in David's to Old Cathedral Catholic Church for maintenance purposes.
