We are sad to announce that on July 19, 2025, at the age of 87, Helen McCord of Vincennes, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Sr. McCarter and Cora McCarter (Near); her son-in-law Leon Gill; and her siblings, Grace Gilbert, Russell Jr. "Bud" McCarter, Robert "Robbie" McCarter, Harold "Buck" McCarter, Marvin "Dink" McCarter, Walter "Joe" McCarter and Mack McCarter.
She is survived by: her husband Jerry McCord; her children, Judy Gill, Sherry Williams (Ron) and Sam McCord (Tracy); her grandchildren, Amy Jeffers (Jason), Brianna Williams, McKinsey Anderson (Alarik) and Morgan Hockensmith (Luke); her great grandchildren, Noel, Kennedy Jeffers, Raelynn, Mason Williams, Saylah Anderson and Maylee Hockensmith; and her brother Jack McCarter. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home (505 Main St #2007, Vincennes, IN 47591). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial donations can be made to the Tupelo Children's Mansion, St. Jude Children's Hospital, or Calvary Apostolic Church.
