It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John D. Organ (Vincennes, Indiana), who passed away on February 4, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of John D. Organ to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse O. Sr. Organ and Thelma Organ (Hicks); his siblings, Mary Loel Darnold and Jesse Organ, Jr.; and his stepsister Shirley Lockhart Deem.

He is survived by: his children, Mike Organ (Peggy) of Vincennes, Diane Goldsboro (Dean) of Vincennes, Scott Organ (Sherry) of Vincennes and Janet Buescher (Charles) of Freelandville; his half-sister Kathy Organ Denny of Roundrock, TX; his stepbrother Larry Lockhart (Claudia) of Vincennes; and his grandchildren, Troy Michael Organ, Kara Doyle, Tyler Dant, Jamie Boren, Eric Organ and Jordan Buescher. He is also survived by six great grandchildren.

The Organ family has requested memorial contributions be made in John's name to the Shriner's Children's Hospital.

“I'm so sadden at just learning of the death of Johnny, we were neighbors and friends since we started kindergarten at Washington Grade School, and both graduated from Lincoln High School, Class 1952, hard to believe it was 70 short years ago! It was always a pleasure to renew our class experiences each year at Homecomings, He will be greatly missed by me and our classmates! My deepest sympathies to his surviving family.
