She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Jr. Eck and Mary Margaret Eck (Cary); her brother-in-law Stephen McClure; and also, Dr. Jack and Jean Shanklin.
She is survived by: her husband Vernon A. Shanklin (Chip); her siblings, Nancy Grubb (Jim), Joan Schulze, Sue Ellen McClure, David Eck (Leigh Anne), Doug Eck and Mary Angela Ernst (Randy); and her brothers-in-law, Rick Shanklin (Shari), Chris Shanklin and Steve Shanklin.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 2:00 PM at the Duesterberg-Fredrick Funeral Home (521 Vigo St, Vincennes, IN 47591). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made in Linda's memory to St. Vincent DePaul Society (1604 Main St., Vincennes, IN 47591) or charity of choice.
