She was predeceased by: her parents, John Martindale and Jennie Martindale (Church); her siblings, John Jr. and Ola Mae Bess (John); her daughters, Teri Ransom and Emily Bartley; and her grandson Mason Alvis.
She is survived by: her children, Marty Smith (Pam) of Monroe City, Jerry Smith (Denise) of Monroe City, Jason Smith (Kathy) of Terre Haute and Bobbi Alvis (Brett) of Monroe City; and her brother Larry Martindale (Wilda) of Vincennes. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren and thirty-one great-grandchildren.
