She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Reed and Marjorie Reed (Wilkin); her husband C. Richard Carpenter; her daughter Catherine Carpenter; her grandson Matt Cazel; and her great grandchild Kristopher Carpenter.
She is survived by: her children, Julie Bono of Franklin, IN and Rick Carpenter (Regina) of Vincennes, IN; her brothers, Donald Reed (Bobbie) of Linton, IN and Butch Reed (Martha) of Elnora, IN; and her grandchildren, Jamie Carpenter (Brad), Bryan Carpenter, Jordan Carpenter (Ashley), Jeremy Carpenter (Mykala), Ryan Cazel (Steph), Nick Cazel and Jared Elser (Cassie). She is also survived by seventeen great grandchildren.
The Carpenter family has requested memorial contributions be made in Marsue's memory to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, Shriners Children Hospital or First Church of God in Vincennes.
