We announce the death of Peter Carter of Vincennes, Indiana, who passed away on August 24, 2026, at the age of 78. Peter will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Buell Carter and Frieda Carter; and his siblings, Pat Carter and Paul Carter. He is survived by: his wife Marcia Carter; his children, Heather Black and Michael Carter (Stephanie); his grandchildren, Kevi Black and Bronx Carter; his sister-in-law Carol Carter; his nephew Matt Carter; his great-nephew Keith Carter; and his cousins, Rebecca Miller (John) and Ranah Rusch (Joe).
Visitation was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Goodwin-Sievers Family Funeral Home - Vincennes (524 Broadway St, Vincennes, IN 47591). A graveside service was held on Monday, August 31st 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Memorial Park Cemetery (919 Willow St, Vincennes, IN 47591).
