He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Marianne Rath (Hulen); his children, Mitch Rath (Amanda) of Vincennes, IN, Todd Rath (Laura) of Vincennes, IN and Jennifer Gilbert (Cody) of Evansville, IN; his sister Kim Modrowski (Tom); his grandchildren, Noah, Baylor, Keaton, Campbell, Brecken Rath, Sadie and Greyson Gilbert; and his parents, Charles Rath and Joyce Rath (Sayre).
