He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Hughes and Ellen Hughes (Harrington); his wife Charlotte Hughes; and his siblings, Anna Mikiska, Jack Hughes and Billy.
He is survived by: his children, Kim Carie (Randy), Lisa Roach (Dave) and Jeff Hughes (Kim); his grandchildren, Sarah Schelfo (Steve), Adam Roach (Ashlee), Andrew Roach, Mallory Hughes, Allie Lawrence and Fallon Dixon (Austin); and his great grandchildren, Joslyn Brown, Grace, Amelia Schelfo, Broady, Rhett Roach, Gunner Lawrence and Adaline Dixon.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Vincennes Funeral Home (524 Broadway St, Vincennes, IN 47591). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 30th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Good Samaritan Foundation, American Cancer Society, or the American Alzheimer Association.
