He is survived by: his children, Brad Carpenter (Janet) of LaFontaine and Jackie Long (Scott) of Wabash; and his grandchildren, Tiffany Harrell of LaFontaine, Ariel Gotschall of Wabash, Caleb Carpenter (Lauren Jones) of Daleville, Tyson Gotschall (Natalie Border) of Fairmount, Kylie Mercer (Scott) of Marion and Hayley Brubaker (Ben) of Bluffton. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
