He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence M. Rice and Martha Evelyn Rice (Ellis). He is survived by: his children, Vicki Filip of Wabash, Jeri Hanssen (Mike) of Kenosha, Joseph Rice (Angela) of Garden City and Stephen Rice; his grandchildren, Kimberly King (Torin), Russell Gieras (Kaycee) and Kaeli DeMarco (Nick); his stepgranddaughters, Kristi Lincoln (Todd), Heather Meeks (Spencer) and Jessica Carlock (Jon); his great grandchildren, Everett and Reid; and his stepgrandchildren, Brylee, Max, Mya, Luke, Lincoln and Harper.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service (1241 Manchester Ave, Wabash, IN 46992). A masonic service was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 6:15 PM at the same location.
