With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Fred A. Reed of Wabash, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 20, 2025 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Reed and Pearl Reed Mendenhall (Brooks); and his siblings, Cleave, Leonard, Robert, Dale, Ray, Jess Reed, Beulah Vinson, Ilene Tabler and Bonnie Dale.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Alice Reed of Wabash; his children, Liz Evans (Bob) of Wabash, Brian Reed (Cambi) of Mentone and Chris Dawes (Todd) of Urbana, Indiana; his grandchildren, Devin Reed (Dena), Kelsey Grimm (Kyle), Sydnie Bivens (Morgan), Alison Butcher (Aaron), Kaitlyn Myers (Jordon), Taylor Smith (Zachary), Corbin Dawes (Allison) and Collin Dawes (Natalie); and his brother Ronnie Reed of Columbia City, Indiana.. He is also survived by 16 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service (1241 Manchester Ave, Wabash, IN 46992). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
