He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Watson and Martha Watson (Rose); his wife Peggy Watson; his brothers, Riley Watson and Dick Watson; and his brother-in-law Ivan Thurston.
He is survived by: his children, Joe Watson (Dinese) of Lynn, Shawn Watson of Converse, Indiana and Jena Sellers (Robert) of Indianapolis, Indiana; his adoptive daughter Rose Watson of Indianapolis, Indiana; his grandchildren, Grace Watson of Lynn, Indiana and Tarissa Watson of Lynn, Indiana; and his sister Shirley Thurston of Richmond, Indiana..
A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the McDonald Funeral Home, LaFontaine Chapel (104 S Main St, La Fontaine, IN 46940).
