He was predeceased by: his parent Gene DeLauter. He is survived by: his wife Jane Unger (DeLauter) of Wabash, Indiana; his children, George L. Unger (Kristin) of Wabash, Indiana and Jessica E. Harris of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; his grandchildren, Chaz, John David, Sebastiaan, MaKinley, BrayLynn and Karina; his siblings, George Steven Unger (Jennifer) of Wabash, Indiana and Jeanne E. Longsworth (Keith) of Ft. Wayne, Indiana; his mother-in-law Mary DeLauter; and his siblings-in-law, Jack DeLauter, Joyce Knotts (Darryl) and Jeanie Cooper (Anthony).
Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the McDonald Funeral Home (231 Falls Ave, Wabash, IN 46992). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 5th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Preferred memorials may be made to the Noble Township Volunteer Fire Department.
